I remember the first time Chuck and I talked. We discussed the data that our DynoJet dyno could provide to prove the benefits of his Golden Gear motor oil. Though I didn't want to dishearten Chuck, I had done the very test he was looking to perform on his oil, with major name brand oils. These tests revealed absolutely no gain in horsepower, or torque between one brand to another. Therefore, I too was sure this would be just another test to show what all other similar tests had already proven, no gain.

At Extreme Performance, we do performance modifications to American vehicles. We have tested many products that make claims that, after our testing, are often not at all close to the increases the manufacturer states. Chuck brought in a 2013 Ford Mustang with the 5.0. This just happens to be the vehicle that we have the most experience with. On our dyno, the Mustang will have about 18% parasitic loss from the drive train. Thus, a 2013 Mustang with a 5.0, rated from the factory at 420 hp will put to the ground, ~345 hp. Chuck's Mustang registered 349 on the first pull.

After changing the oil and driving approximately 1000 miles, we strapped the Mustang down on the dyno again. On the first pull, the Mustang put down 361 hp. This gain is even though the air temperature was 5 degrees hotter than when we did the baseline pulls. Being skeptical, I looked the engine over thoroughly for any signs of a modification or alteration and I found absolutely nothing.

I don't doubt Chuck's claim of increased fuel mileage on the Mustang. If an unmodified engine can make more hp and tq with Golden Gear's motor oil, it is because the friction between the moving parts has been reduced. This is the only way to explain the positive results. If friction is reduced, the engines internal parts will experience less wear. The engine will run cooler, last longer.

RE: Golden Gear GOLD PLUS 15W-40 Motor Oil

I use a 2004 Ford E-150 Van in a local delivery business. I had approximately 320,000 miles on the odometer using Kendall High Mileage Motor Oil for awhile. I started hearing valve chatter from my engine. I talked to several people and Craig Clarke suggested I try Golden Gear GOLD PLUS Motor Oil. I had never heard of them but was curious, so I tried it. It put an immediate end to my valve chatter noise.

I ran the first oil change 10,000 miles and was impressed it still looked clean when I changed it. My van ran smoother, cooler, and the most impressive with the increasing cost of gas was the considerable increase in fuel mileage! Since we operate in extreme desert conditions daily, another noticable change was the cooler air coming from my air conditioning vents.

I have never been so satisfied with a product period! This Motor Oil did exactly what I was told it would do, and then some. I will  highly recommend anyone I know to use this product.

RE: Golden Gear GOLD PLUS 15W-40 Motor Oil

We have 48 trucks and 63 trailers running in AZ, CA, & NV. We tried GOLD PLUS starting in July 2012 in 6 of our trucks in La Mirada as they were in the least state of repair. After completing the change from Delo 400 in all 9 power units, we watched our fuel mileage in these trucks increase by 19% from Auguist 2012 through August of 2013. The entire fleet was changed over at that time. By making that change, we are looking at $125,000.00 in fuel savings alone.

Besides the increased fuel mileage, all units are on extended drain intervals for additional savings. An added advantage came when 1 of the trucks developed an oil leak in April from the pan gasket and the Driver did not catch until the truck shut down with a gallon left in it. Our mechanic ran 4 gallons out to the truck, topped it off, and the truck still runs daily routes with no noticable damage to the engine. 3 other trucks since April lost all coolant from hoses and radiator issues. All 3 were repaired and are still running routes without any noticable damage to those engines.

It is "peace of mind" knowing your running a better lubricant than anything else out there in trucks that you depend so heavily daily to deliver your goods to the Customers. We have been using GOLD PLUS for a year and have had no issues whatsoever in a fleet of trucks that ranged in mileages from 194,000 to 796,000.
